Initiatives for the Beatification Event

Dear Brothers/Sisters/whoever,

This is an information about the projects of the Pauline Family for the
Alberione Year. They have been planned one year ago when we did not
know yet about the date of the Founder's beatification, but the Spirit
inspired us to think of these things: Cf. following:

February 2 - Thanksgiving Mass
February 20-23 Pauline Seminar/Workshop in Cagayan de Oro City (Mindanao)
Mass of thanksgiving after the beatification - to be decided Pauline Family penitential service - date to be decided
May 8-11- Pauline Cooperators National Convention to deepen on Pauline Spirituality
June 16-20 - Pauline Family Spiritual Exercises on Alberionian themes
October 20-24 2nd group of Pauline Family Spiritual Exercises
   

An intersectoral meeting was held last January 10 and 13 to discuss the various initiatives of each sector in relation to the beatification of Fr. James Alberione.

The group worked on the goals that they want to achieve through the plans and projects they have come out with. The following are the goals agreed upon with their corresponding strategies and the sector responsible for them:

1. Preparing an anthology on PM’s writings by topics (comics, pamphlets, etc.)

2. Making the thoughts of PM on the vows as the theme of Juniors’ Congress

3. Setting up an "Alberione Corner"

1. Preparing a project by every Renewalist group to promote PM

2. Featuring the Life and Mission of PM in Studiosità Module 2003

3. Launching an Original Hymn Composition Contest: Hymn to Fr. Alberione

4. Incorporating in the Studiosità Modules Quiz on the life of Fr. Alberione

5. Preparing a leaflet on the elderly’s encounters with Primo Maestro

1. Making "Donec formetur Christus in vobis" as the theme for the Annual Retreat

1. Using the Founder’s thoughts and writings for common adoration, monthly recollection and reading during meals

2. Enthroning the picture of Primo Maestro in local communities and places of apostolate

3. Organizing a Thanksgiving mass on the vigil of the beatification day in every branch house
      

1. Joining the pilgrimage to Rome for the Beatification

2. Holding of Thanksgiving Masses in February and November

3. Organizing the Pauline Family Retreat in June and October

4. Organizing the triduum in preparation for the beatification
      

Strategies:

1. Printing of bookmark Alberione series

2. Printing of pamphlet with historical sketch on life of PM and excerpts from his writings

3. Printing of 2-fold (4 pages) Novena leaflet to be given away

4. Including Ads about PM in our books

5. Printing the posters of PM

6. Reprinting of A Marvel of Our Times (Pauline Distribution Center)

1. Continuing to feature Fr. Alberione instead of other saints

2. Featuring the thoughts of PM on Spiritual Growth column

3. Having the picture of PM as cover

AV (Audio-visual)

1. Inserting PM’s leaflet in all Audio Visual products

2. Featuring the TV interview on PM & Paulines using "Unity of Energies"

3. Producing TV plugs of PM’s thoughts on media (in collaboration with Family Rosary Crusade)

4. Inviting a Pauline Family panel on TV

1. Producing Radio Spot: 30 sec to 1 min spot on the life and writings of the Founder

2. Inserting quotations of the Founder in Bagong Umaga program

3. Producing a 10-15 min. documentary on the life of the Founder in collaboration with the Corso

4. Inviting ourselves to be interviewed by Dr. Love

1. Integrating in the intro of every MLE (Media Literacy Education) course and seminar PM, Pauline Charism and Mission

2. Emphasizing the presence of PM as Vat. II observer during the discussion of "Media & Communication" when explaining Church document Inter Mirifica

3. Giving to guest lecturers and students books and other media materials on PM as gifts

1. Promoting PM through the Paulines website

2. Publishing in newspapers the life of PM and news of his beatification

3. Giving press releases to the media

4. Asking Fr. Reuter to write something on Primo Maestro in his newspaper column

1. Making a common paper bag for SSP, FSP and PDDM

2. Producing souvenir items of Primo Maestro

3. Making Primo Maestro as the theme for show windows in the Media Centers

4. Making and putting up of streamers

1. Integrating in the greetings and thank you to benefactors about the beatification/life of Primo Maestro

2. Making Primo Maestro as the theme for the Lent and Advent recollections of benefactors and for the Family Day

1. Introducing the Founder in the sessions with the youth

2. Diffusing materials on Primo Maestro

3. Distributing posters and other materials on Primo Maestro

4. Organizing thanksgiving Mass in their respective mission areas

5. Giving books and other materials on PM to school heads, administrators, priests and bishops as gifts

6. Launching of A Marvel of Our Times

1. Making Primo Maestro as theme for the Lent and Advent recollections

2. Including a subject on Primo Maestro in the LMPs’ (Collaboratori/dipendenti) formation

On February 2, the Pauline Family will gather for a thanksgiving Mass at the Our Lady of Sorrows Parish Church.
